In the human simulation there is a large city called Mechanicalville. Mechanicalville represents the dreadful height of humanity; every emotion is made extreme here, it is a place of violence and ecstasy. The Creators watch it closely.
At the center of the city is the demonic Club Supplication. Each night, The Supplicant is brought to the club and placed upon a crystalline stage. Sing, Supplicant, Sing.
She wishes to stop the performance but is propelled forward by invisible hands. Sex in Mechanicalville is a record of The Supplicant’s final performance. In The Creator’s world it is also called “The Supplicant, The Disco and The End of Times.”

Sex in Mechanicalville is the soundtrack to the first episode of Sally Horowitz’s serialized drama S the Supplicant. As the front-person of the 2010s greatest powerpop group Secret Lover, Horowitz awed and charmed the crowds at basement shows all across the country with her operatic talent and her unreserved performances. Now living in New York City and expanding her empire from rock’n’roll into writing, acting, and performance art, Horowitz presents a shocking, dystopian one-woman show, a disco musical for fans of Blade Runner, Nina Hagen, and “Vogue”-era Madonna. It’s a devastating tale, synced to the slightly-too-fast-pulse of the Supplicant’s mechanical sexuality and offering a zoomed-all-the-way-out perspective on the human condition.

This cassette edition includes an extended and deconstructed remix of the single “Aphrodite’s School” by Savannah, GA’s “best club DJ” C Powers (House of Gunt, MOM Radio) to keep things pumping in the End of Times.
